It would be really nice if CF had a function call that would allow me to reload a jar file that has changed without restarting CF. I know that there is a javaSettings parameter in Application.cfc, but using that with reloadOnChange=true requires CF to watch the jar file for changes. Which seems expensive, especially on a production system. We only need to reload jar files about once a week, so watching for changes every 60 seconds seems like a waste. A function call would allow me to write a script that I can run whenever the jar changes. And then I wouldn't have to restart our production CF server during off hours.

IMHO it should not only allow to reload (already defined) Jars but to add new Jars as well. The jar should then be available until the application is restartet.
