Currently, when creating a new remote server or editing a local server to be remote, CFB defaults the Admin server port to 8987.

Instead, CFB should get the Admin server's port from {cfroot}\cfusion\jetty\start.ini

Ex: Currently, for me, port 8987 is the Admin server port for -CF11- which I also have running on the same machine.
