Problem Description:
If your ColdFusion install doesn't use the default CF root (C:\ColdFusion11) the updater will create this directory and extract the hotfix files to the wrong location. The updater starts out running in the correct location of the downloaded JAR file, but then during the installation process it switches the Install Directory to: C:\ColdFusion11\ instead of, in my case: E:\ColdFusion\.
Steps to Reproduce:
Install CF 11 update 8, 9, 10 or 11 on a CF server with an install directory that is on a different drive and directory, e.g., E:\ColdFusion instead of the default: C:\ColdFusion11
Actual Result:
Updates installed in wrong location:
C:\ColdFusion11\cfusion\hf-updates\hf-11-00008\
C:\ColdFusion11\cfusion\hf-updates\hf-11-00011\
Expected Result:
E:\ColdFusion\cfusion\hf-updates\hf-11-00008\
E:\ColdFusion\cfusion\hf-updates\hf-11-00011\
Any Workarounds:
Install the updates manually using java.exe.
