Problem Description:

When a developer successfully installs the developer version of ColdFusion, they should feel like they have something. They should have a great looking welcome page.

Adobe is the company behind Photoshop. A product that has been used to create great website all over the world.

I go to ColdFusion, and I am greeted with a directory dump. (See image)

How would a new person even know that /CFIDE/administrator is a useful link?

Comments:

Not a fan of advertising in a development environment. If they did do that, which I hope they don't then I would expect it would be CF related. CC is a dying subscription for developers. If CFBuilder was actually was a good product, I'd cancel CC subscription and just use an old copy of Photoshop. If CF ever went open source then I could see an avenue for non intrusive advertising.

Good point. It should be static page. Maybe something like the welcome screen on IIS install
