In the ColdFusion Administrator, I have not much experience using the "Code Analyzer" tool that has been there in previous releases and I have a few questions that might lead to some enhancements:
It appears that code can only be tested from ColdFusion 9 or ColdFusion 10. Is there any reason ColdFusion 7 and ColdFusion 8 are not listed there - I thought they were in the past for previous versions of ColdFusion? Did it not function well before? If this feature is already created, perhaps it could be included some how? You could have two drop down boxes - Migration To and Migration From - where the input are various ColdFusion versions. While there may not be code to test ColdFusion 8 against ColdFusion 11 or the upcoming ColdFusion 12, if ColdFusion 10 is selected in the Migration To box, ColdFusion 8 could be in the Migration From box. Once the programmer has upgraded their code to ColdFusion 10, they could readjust the fields, do a new report, and then make the changes required to migrate to the latest version of ColdFusion.
