Problem Description:
Whenever an email is triggered from server following exception is thrown "An exception occurred when setting up mail server parameters. This exception was caused by: coldfusion.mail.MailSpooler$SpoolLockTimeoutException: A time out occurred while waiting for the lock on the mail spool directory.."

Steps to Reproduce:
Intermittent issue. Steps unknown.

Actual Result:
Emails from server are not being sent because ColdFusion’s mail spooler jams due to SpoolLockTimeoutException. Whenever an email is triggered from server following exception is thrown "An exception occurred when setting up mail server parameters. This exception was caused by: coldfusion.mail.MailSpooler$SpoolLockTimeoutException: A time out occurred while waiting for the lock on the mail spool directory.."

Expected Result:
Even if an error occurs in sending/spooling an email an exception should be thrown and future emails should be sent without any issue. But whenever this issue occurs mail spooler jams and no further email are sent until the server is restarted.

Any Workarounds:
Restarting Coldfusion server.

Comments:

Can you please increase the coldfusion.spooltimeout setting to 90 in jvm.config file and check if you are still getting this exception?
