Problem Description:

Components are not found after upgrading to CF10 and Java Oracle. Web services also won't register these components that worked fine in CF8 with Sun Java.

We have the same component files running on four different servers. The files work on two of the four servers. The only difference I see in the server settings besides the version of CF and the operating system, is the vendor/version of Java.

1. CF10, Java Sun, IIS 7.5.7600.16385 - working (local)

2. CF8, Java Sun - working: http://www.ipmcenters.org/wservices/WS_pubcplist.cfc?wsdl

3. CF10, Java Oracle - not working: cipmcfprd-1.cipm.info/ipmcenters.org/wservices/WS_pubcplist.cfc?wsdl

4. CF10, Java Oracle, IIS 7.5.7600.16385 - not working (local)

Steps to Reproduce:

working (see server 2 above) http://www.ipmcenters.org/wservices/WS_pubcplist.cfc?wsdl

not working (see server 3 above) cipmcfprd-1.cipm.info/ipmcenters.org/wservices/WS_pubcplist.cfc?wsdl

Actual Result:

The web service operation caused an invocation exception.

The root cause was that: coldfusion.runtime.CfJspPage$NoSuchTemplateException: Could not find the ColdFusion component or interface

Expected Result:

Returned XML output from web service component

Any Workarounds: None

Comments:

Windows Server 2012 is not available in the Platform drop-down list, so I selected Win 2008 which is not correct so that the bug form would submit without an error.

This is RESOLVED. It turned out to be a period in the directory name where the component resides. It worked in CF8, but CF10 doesn't like it.
