Title:

ColdFusion 10 unable to resolve UNC mappings

| View in Tracker

Status/Resolution/Reason: Closed/Withdrawn/CannotReproduce

Reporter/Name(from Bugbase): Joe Baermann / Joe Baermann (F4798w85gasdg)

Created: 07/18/2013

Components: Installation/Config

Versions: 10.0

Failure Type:

Found In Build/Fixed In Build: Final /

Priority/Frequency: Major / All users will encounter

Locale/System: English / Win 2008 Server R2 64 bit

Vote Count: 0

Problem Description: When a mapping is added with Logical Path /SharedFiles and Directory Path //webroot/sites/SharedFiles, ColdFusion 10 is unable to resolve the mapping correct, this worked with all previous versions.
Browsing http://somesite/SharedFiles/SomeFile.htm throws error 404 not found, since CF10 points at //webroot/sites/somesite/SharedFiles/SomeFile.htm
The root of "somesite" is //webroot/sites
Until this is fixed we won't upgrade any of our servers to CF10, this is business critical.

Steps to Reproduce: Add a mapping like the above described in CF 10,0,11,285437 where CF is working up against IIS

Actual Result: Error 404 Not Found

Expected Result: That files are found as the UNC mapping states

Comments:

Correction to bug description: The root of "somesite" is \\webroot\sites\somesite\ When I add \\webroot CF10 shows the Directory Path as //webroot, this might lead to the issue. CF8 and 9 as example puts it exact like it is added.
