Problem:
There have been instances when the hot-fix mechanism fails silently and users are often misled into thinking everything went fine.
Users could look at the version number in the Administrator to see if everything went fine or perhaps even check the logs but the hot-fix updates page could be tweaked in some way to better help someone confirm that things went as they should. A couple of ways suggested:
1) Show the version number for the update applied, and compare it to the current version, and flag if they’re not the same
2) Offer a link on that page to the hot-fix log (and highlight if it doesn’t indicate that all went well.)
This is applicable even when there are multiple instances to which the hot-fix is applied
