Deleting and re-creating a task can introduce other unintended human errors.

Also tasks with leading spaces can be created (probably by mistake), but not renamed nor deleted afterwards. Same exception is thrown: "The following task could not be found: (test)."

Encountering the problem also. Also [ bracket characters and most special characters cause this problem also.

Following up on my comment from Nov 13, 2012, I see now that the status on this page says that it is fixed in build 283018, but I am still having this problem and am on Updater 4 (build 283281). Until it is fixed don't use special characters and especially don't use < or > characters in your task name as things really go crazy on updating tasks. You won't be able to edit or delete the task, and other tasks start failing with Variable CTASK error when you save a change to existing tasks.

@JCintas Can you please verify the fix in the latest CF10 update. I tried the use case on CF10 Update 12 on a Windows 64 bit setup and the issue looks fixed to me (Comment added from ex-user id:vnigam)

The bug is not reproducible on latest updates of CF 10 & 11. If you are still facing the issue do let us know. Thanks, Suchika.
