Problem Description:

Ok here is the situation.

Computer A - Is a workstation
Computer B - Is a server running Tomcat

On Computer A I have downloaded ColdFusion 10, and have run the installation to create a war file to be deployed to Computer B.

When running the installation it asks for install directories for the .Net Service, Solr service and search service is also installed. Once the war file is created I then use the Tomcat manager on Computer B to install the war file.

The problem now is that Computer A has parts of ColdFusion installed, but it never was intended to have ColdFusion installed on that computer. Which means that I am now forced to uninstall these parts of ColdFusion on Computer A.

The last time I brought this up it was mentioned that this is by design, I would like to know why or how is this by design, yes this has been the same problem with ColdFusion 8, ColdFusion 9 and now ColdFusion 10.

By design means that as a user I intend to install that war on Computer A, but I have no desire to install ColdFusion on to Computer A, so why should these extra parts of ColdFusion be installed on Computer A, if they are never going to be used there.

Please read this very carefully, I don't think anyone did that with the previous ticket.
