Problem Description: I am raising this again and before its closed and deferred please fully read, and pass on to the ColdFusion product manager, I would like an explanation why this has been deferred and closed every time it is raised now spanning 2 major releases and 1 minor release.
http://www.andyscott.id.au/2012/3/2/Is-Adobe-switched-on-I-dont-believe-they-are-ColdFusion-10-should-be-marked-as-going-home
And yes I still have the tickets and conversations with Adobe going back to ColdFusion 9 alpha / beta, where it was claimed that this had been fixed. If it had been fixed as marked by you developers, I would not be hear 5 years later asking for it to still be fixed. We spend enough on the license of this product, without having to again spend money to get this sort of thing fixed urgently either.
Secondly as I have raised this as you can read, not once, but a number of times. I raised it in CF9 alpha, and CF9.01 beta and before CF10 had even begun being work on. Each and everytime it has been closed, and deferred.
This is a serious blocker to code that I have tried to write, and has no know work around. And for 5 years I have had to tell my clients I am still waiting for Adobe to fix this. No wonder people are moving away from ColdFusion, with these sort of attitudes from you developers. I have lost 3 clients on this matter in 5 years, and they are either now written in PHP, or grails.
How many more of these type of bugs will be deferred and for how long will you continue to ignore these type of requests for the language?
