Comments:

I am can see the characters are rendered when I try this <cfdocument format="PDF" > pdf including special characters like † or &#8224 </cfdocument> Is your scenario different? (Comment added from ex-user id:evelinv)

OK, here is a test file that will illustrate problems CF-3127840 and CF-3127807. It also contains † or †, but in this simple environment it seems to be working indeed. I'll check further why it is not in my code. Thanks.

Hi, I finally found why the dagger didn't show. During the process I have a Javascript function supposed to retrieve document.body.innerHTML. The whole HTML is returned correct exept that representation of unicode characters like † are not return as such but as unicode values, so that the character is lost for the rest of the process. I was able to work aoround this, and now it works beautyfully. So, you can cancel this bug, but there still are the two others (greyscale and margin) Thanks.
