| View in Tracker

Status/Resolution/Reason: Closed/Withdrawn/

Reporter/Name(from Bugbase): Raymond Garrett / Raymond Garrett (Digitoxin)

Created: 06/14/2010

Components: Platform Support, 64 bit

Versions: 9.0

Failure Type: Unspecified

Found In Build/Fixed In Build: 9.0.0.251028 /

Priority/Frequency: Normal / Unknown

Locale/System: English / Win All

Vote Count: 2

Problem:

The cfperfmon_9.dll file that comes with the 64-bit version of ColdFusion 9 appears to be incompatible with Windows 7 64-Bit. When the ColdFusion performance counters are installed, the Performance Monitor is unable to retrieve a list of counters from the system. Other applications that rely on performance counters fail to work properly as well. As an example, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 fails to install properly until the ColdFusion 9 performance counters are uninstalled from the system. After removing the ColdFusion 9 performance counters, the performance monitor works as expected.
Method:

Install ColdFusion 9 64-bit on Windows 7.Run the performance monitor and attempt to add a counter.
Result:

Not Applicable
