Problem:
No exception messages, just 500 errors.
For doc:
"When the server encounters an return" which is at the path IIS 7 home -> Error Pages -> Actions -> Edit Feature settings ?
If it is ’Custom error’ then it simply shows the 500 error. If it is selected as "Detailed error" , then you will see the complete exception message.
By default on IIS third option is selected (i.e Detailed Errors for local requests and custom error pages for remote requests )
Depending on whether your browser is on the same machine as IIS or remote machine, you will see either full exception or just error code 500.
Just change your option to Detailed error if you want full exception messages from any machine.
Method:
Install 9.0.1 update.Disconnect all servers from ColdFusion.Remove IIS 6 compadibilityAdd all servers desired with connector tool.Run new code and make a simple mistake.Look at the 500 error page with no hint that shows in IIS 6.STOP SCREAMING... it won't fix it.
Result:
The new connector for IIS 7 does not disply robust error messages if the error message is 500 error. You just get the 500 error. I disconnected all the sites from IIS 7 and went back to 6 and the messages all show up now. This HAS to be fixed before release.
