Problem:
This is the same bug as 80375 however it has not been completely fixed in Hotfix 1. The bug is still present after applying hotfix 1 and restarting the server.
Method:
Create a cfc with a remote method that returns a number. Set the returntype to any. Then call the method via url using a returnformat=json. The error is returned. Change the returnformat to plain and the number will be returned.
Result:
error: The following problem was found: java.lang.Double cannot be cast to java.lang.String () . This occurs even after applying Cumulative Hotfix 1.
