Problem:
Most developers are comfortable using HTML/CSS to create tables. Given that, I think it would be useful if there were a tag based method for creating new spreadsheets in ColdFusion 9. Sheets could be structured and formatted using sheet, column, row and cell tags, similar to how tables are created in HTML.Additionally, it would be nice to be able express cell formatting using standard CSS notation. Standard CSS properties could be used where possible, and extended properties used where no standard property makes sense. (For example I could see the need for extended properties such as -cf-spreadsheet-fillpattern or -cf-spreadsheet-dataformat.) Formatting could be applied to the cell, row, column, or sheet and cascade appropriately. For a sample implementation see the POI ColdFusion Custom Tag Features of Ben Nadel's POI Utility: http://www.bennadel.com/projects/poi-utility.htm
