Problem:

Trying to install the June 30th intermediate build as a WAR on a CF8 server. I've gotten this error now four times:

There was a problem
Message: The specified directory attribute C:\JRun4\servers\cfusion\SERVER-INF\temp\cfusion-war-tmp\492C69F0-9CD5-F480-A80C731639219869\cf9.ear\cf9.war\WEB-INF\cfusion\temp_zip cannot be deleted.
Detail: You may not have permissions to delete this directory. The exception occurred during a cfdirectory action="delete".

Each time, I shut down services, remove the directory, reboot and then install it into a new instance name. Each time, it fails.

This worked previously on Beta 2. I am attempting to add this via CFAdministrator 8.0.1 instance manager.

The CF of the multiserver is version 8,0,1,195765, Java version is 1.6.0_14 and JRun 4 Updater 7 is running.

For anyone who needs to run CF9 on a CF8 multiserver, this is going to require you to either install CF9 as a standalone or not install at all. Both aren't acceptable alternatives.
Method:

Apache 2.2.11 running on Windows XP SP3.

Install CF 8.0.1 as a mulitserver install, developer edition. Choose no features.

Update JVM to 1.6.0_14.

Update JRun 4 to Updater 7.

Reboot.

Run the Intermediate installer. Choose EAR/WAR install. Choose developer edition. Choose all features, and accept default directories.

Go c:\ColdFusion9. Rename cfusion.war to cf9.war.

Start cfusion and admin servioes for CF8/JRun. Go into CFAdministrator http://localhost/CFIDE/Administrator/index.cfm and login.

Go to Enterprise Manager, Instance Manager. No instances installed. Create new instance. Name instance cf9 and accept default location. Choose c:\ColdFusion9\cf9.war. Create Windows Service but no auto restart. Chick Submit.

Steps 1, 2 and 3 come up. Step 3 takes a long time. Step 4 never comes, instead you get the error above listed under the dialog area on the page.

Result:
