Problem:

There seems no good reason why the Multiserver deployment of CF doesn't support use of CFSTAT and the Perfmon integration.

Sure, one may say “just use the CF 8 Server Monitor” and/or Admin API, but there’s value in both these other tools (CFSTAT for being command line, and Perfmon for being more familiar to traditional Windows admins, and integrated with many tools.)

I’ve never heard a good explanation for why this didn’t work, and whether it was just an oversight (and not enough spoke up to get it fixed), or a technical limitation (and whether that was significant or just modest, and again few had spoken up), or if there is some marketing/versioning motivation to this lack.

If there may be a solution, especially one that can be done for those on CF 7 or 6 (without the Server Monitor as an option), that would be great to hear. Not trying to forestall upgrades: again the point is that for some the Server Monitor would not suffice for the things these two tools offer.
