Problem:
got a user collecting polling station data in ghana who can only afford read only SMS. the provider's only allowing receiver binding for this guy's account. cf's SMS gateway won't bind w/their provider (connection refused errors) as it uses Transceiver only binding. it would be useful if we could configure the binding via the gateway instance config to specify what type of binding to use: Transceiver (as default), Receiver or Transmitter.
