Problem:

When creating a CAR file, the "Select datasources" part should be more user friendly.

1) There should be an option to select all datasources

2) In the case where there are a great number of datasources, and you have scrolled down the page to find, and ultimately select a particular datasource, the current action forces a page refresh, which takes you back to the top of the screen... this is really annoying especially if you need to select additional datasources further down the page.

When selecting a datasource there should be no screen refresh.

Maybe this particular area, or indeed the entire CAR interface could do with an overhaul as in today's environment of RIAs, we could be looking to use Ajax or Flex to solve the refresh issue and ultimately make the whole experience better.

The same happens with verity collections as well. In fact looking at it, its on every check box everywhere in the archive tool. It would be better if there were a save button rather than sending data every time you select an option.

Select all and deselect all on datasources when creating CARs has been needed for a long time! I even blogged about this recently. http://tinyurl.com/dhgd4c
