I have had similar <cfscript> experiences in the past. I try to persuade others by saying things like "The code that does not exist, you do not maintain". <cfscript> is a way to make all kinds of code just disappear.

Great Summary. As they say, the only constant is the change. Taking slow steps at a time is the best way to improve yourself rather than not doing anything at all. :-)
