If the source pdf is password protected for modification , <cfpdf action="thumbnail" fails if the password is not provided, but the pdf can be open and view using the Adobe reader and other pdf manipulation software.
As long as the pdf can be freely viewed I think <cfpdf action="thumbnail" (or any action that doesn't modify the source pdf) should be allowed without providing the password.Attachments:
