Problem Description:
There's a few old bugs with the 'Offline AIR' support that have not been resolved: 3199275, 3199274, and 3199273. If the source was available, I could easily override or recompile with the new fixes so that this feature becomes useful again.
Also, there's been some situations where I would have liked to use this library, but couldn't because I needed slightly different behavior. For example, the cfair.swc requires the usage of RemoteObject, but I have some apps that rely on CF web services to get their data, or bits of data stored in an XML file. If the source code was available, one could easily tune this library to fit their needs.
If this feature will no longer get any attention from Adobe, it only makes sense to open up the source code for it.
Any Workarounds:
There isn't. Since the source is unavailable, and defects are no longer getting any attention, this feature has become less useful.
