(UNIX only) Use operating system logging facilities
Select this option to log messages using the UNIX syslog logging facility. ColdFusion also writes log messages to the standard ColdFusion log files.
This only supports UDP and not TCP at this time.
It seems that the logging library used by CF has no support for TCP.

The newer version of this library does indicate support for both the channels.
