The option to install ODBC Services with Coldfusion 9 or 10 when installing CF on a Linux platform would be very useful. We just had a situation where we had been connecting to a Unidata database for years using JDBC, and we wanted to upgrade our CF from 8 to 10. The Unidata drivers from Rocket for JDBC have a known issue and are not compatible with CF 10 (only with 9 and under). If we wanted to use CF 10, we'd have to connect via ODBC. However, Unidata's ODBC drivers are only for Windows platforms, and Coldfusion's ODBC Services are only for Windows. We will never give up Linux for Windows... We downgraded to CF 9 to get around the issue, but we'd rather be on CF 10.
