Problem:

I tried to convert a Word doc to PDF and it failed, however the error message implied I did not have OO installed or setup correctly. That was not the case. I could clearly see CF starting up OO and see OO running. THe issue was the Word doc I was trying to convert. When I tried another Word doc it ran fine. CF needs to differntiate between "Couldn't convert" and "I can't convert at all - no OO". 
Method:

Find a Word doc OO can't handle and try to convert it. Note how the error message implies you don't have OO installed.
Result:

Could not determine OpenOffice installation.OpenOffice installation is required for this file format: doc
