Problem:
On CF 8.0.1, after an out of heap space memory error, sometimes certain scheduled task that are scheduled to run will be completely ignored. Strangely, only some tasks are ignored, some continue to run fine. The task that is ignored does not even register in the scheduler.log, and will remain off schedule for the rest of the uptime. A CFserver restart will reactivate the scheduled task. This happens on both 1.4.2 Sun JVM and 1.6 Update 14. Even after the request that is consuming too much memory is terminated and server page processing reverts to normal, the schedule task fails to run. This really shouldn't happen -- it makes the scheduler rather unreliable. Scheduled task should recover from any memory errors.
Method:
1) Create a few schedules in CFAdmin's Scheduled Task2) Run a page that consumes lots of memory until Heap-space runs out.3) Check schedule log to see if any scheduled task stops running.
