Problem:
Unable to consume web services in CF9 Enterprise running inside Oracle 10g Application Server on IBM AIX 5.3. If I copy the tools.jar from our CF8 instance, web services work great, but then it breaks report builder. Is there a way to just copy over something from CF8 to fix the web services only? This didn't happen in CF8, just wondering if there is a work around.
Method:
ColdFusion inside of Oracle 10g Application Server using IBM J9 VM (1.6.0). Try and consume a web service and we get the error about the version conflict.
Result:
/ddst/oracle/iasmid/j2ee/CF9-32/applications/CF9-32/CF9-32/WEB-INF/cfusion/stubs/WS-34416912/Domino/Items.java:10: cannot access java.io.Serializable bad class file: /usr/java6/jre/lib/rt.jar(java/io/Serializable.class) class file has wrong version 49.0, should be 48.0 Please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectory of the classpath. public class Items implements java.io.Serializable { ^ 1 error
