Title:

Large POST crashes REST service

| View in Tracker

Status/Resolution/Reason: Closed/Withdrawn/NotABug

Reporter/Name(from Bugbase): Fred Moe / Fred Moe (Fred Moe)

Created: 02/19/2015

Components: REST Services

Versions: 10.0

Failure Type: Crash

Found In Build/Fixed In Build: Final /

Priority/Frequency: Major / Most users will encounter

Locale/System: English / Windows 7

Vote Count: 0

Problem Description: When POSTing large amounts of data (In my testing it was in excess of 73440 bytes) the REST service throws multiple errors causing IIS to shut it down or the Visual Studio debugger to launch.

Steps to Reproduce:
Use the attached CFC and CFM to create a REST service and call it with varying sizes of data until failure (Seems to be around 74K).

Actual Result:
Multiple faults cause IIS to stop the associated application pool. With larger data sizes the Visual Studio debugger is invoked.

Expected Result:
POSTed data will load to the appropriate function in the CFC.

Any Workarounds:
NONE
