The web server configuration tool (wsconfig) had for years let you connect sites to any instance of CF, prior to CF10. Since CF10, one launching the "web server configuration tool" from the Start menu in Windows will find they can only connect a listed web site to either the cfusion instance or a cluster.

In order to connect a site to another instance, they must know to run that wsconfig tool directly from within the instancename\runtime\bin under CF 10 or 11.

Please fix the tool so that either:
- it works like it used to, to allow you to connect any site to any instance, or
- have it at least warn people that to connect to another instance, they must launch it FROM WITHIN that instance

Mukesh, thanks for sharing that news that this has been addressed, and is "Fixed and verified in build#295615". But can you help us, on the outside, to know if that is referring to a coming update for CF11? or might it only be fixed in CF12 (aka "raijin")? Since you did not update the "fixed in build" field on the right, we have no way to know for sure (and #295615 seems meaningful only for you guys on the inside). Thanks for any thoughts, and again great news that this is being addressed.

Hi Adobe, I've verified this is fixed in CF2016 Update 1 (build 2016.0.01.298513). Instance can be selected from wsconfig UI's "AppServer Instance" drop-down. Thanks!, -Aaron
