This is a proposal to use the Enterprise Feature Router (EFR) for API Manager and Security Analyzer.

Currently, API Manager and Security Analyzer are Enterprise-edition only.

I think Adobe could've utilized the Enterprise Feature Router for both APIM and Security Analyzer. In Standard and Developer editions, they could've throttled the number of requests APIM can deal w/ and limited the analytics that APIM offers. In Developer edition, Security Analyzer could be offered as it currently is. In Standard edition, Security Analyzer could also be ran from the CLI but only return simple plain text reports. In Enterprise edition, Security Analyzer could also be ran from the CLI but would have ability to generate more user-friendly/professional reports in HTML and PDF format - and perhaps offer some other features like support for CFB's "virtual hosts" setup.

The security analyzer should be made available, in some form, to all ACF developers in all editions (dev, std and ent). Keeping this an enterprise only feature is a giant disservice to your community and to your customers - releasing this to all versions may actually have a positive impact on that perception problem you guys have, keeping it enterprise can only negatively impact that perception.

The code analyzer should be a feature of a licensed version of CF Builder and not require a particular version of the server product. $0.02.
