CF11 vs CF12 behave differently for "cfide" in URLs

Repro:

In CF11 w/ IIS, type localhost/cfide/administrator in browser and hit enter

Actual and expected result: redirects to http://localhost/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm and displays CF Admin
- note: localhost/cfide/adminapi also has expected result

In CF12, type localhost:8500/cfide/administrator in browser and hit enter

Actual result: 404
- note: localhost:8500/cfide/adminapi also throws 404

Expected result: redirect to http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm

Is it too difficult to allow "cfide"? I see no conflict since both URLs (w/ CFIDE vs cfide) would point to the same place. (Thank you for replying.
