During my time with ColdFusion, I have never branched out to other payment gateways other than PayPal. This is something that I have never been totally comfortable doing because it was something I was never taught during my college years and I try to avoid doing it because I do not want to mess that sort of thing up and risk being sued.
I realize that with this version of ColdFusion there is a lot of talking about APIs and security improvements, etc. Has Adobe ever considered making it easier for developers to send and receive payments via various methods whether it be PayPal, Credit Cards, etc?
Maybe something like this link on RiaForge (http://cfpayment.riaforge.org/) to a custom tag called cfpayment - code found at https://github.com/ghidinelli/cfpayment.
This would be a great addition for ecommerce, security, convenience, and productivity.
