It is very important to be able to fully automate the installation of add on services like .NET but there are no docs at all that explain what the possible arguments are to do a silent install for the .NET add on.

GUI installers are great, but cannot be the only option. Not in today's world of automation. Please fully document each of the add on services (.NET is the one I specifically need ATM) to help people automate their servers setups.

A specific installer that I'm referring to is this one: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/coldfusion/updates/12/dotnet/ColdFusion_2016_DotNetIntegration_WWEJ_64.exe Note, this is a separate installer just for the .NET add-on service, this is not the main ColdFusion installers. Clarifying here since there was some confusion around this on Slack.

This ticket is not a duplicate of anything. There still is no documentation for the add in installers specifically (not talking about the main CF installers here). I believe this ticket was closed by mistake. Priyank looked for me and said that this ticket was listed in the internal Adobe tracker as the duplicate, but that is incorrect. Totally different ticket. https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/CF-4202561

Brad, a fix is needed for this to work and the fix is being tracked as part of CF-4202561. Once fixed, we will update the doc automatically.

Vamsee, thanks for the reply, but again, I think you are misunderstanding. There are no docs to update because there are no docs for this at all! This ticket is unrelated to CF-4202561! This ticket is simply to create documentation for the add on silent installers which currently does not exist at all. This can happen today regardless of the new features I'm requesting. The other ticket is to add a new feature to the silent installers which will probably need documented as well, but it is really unrelated to this ticket. Please reopen this ticket so the docs can be written for the current functionality and then you can worry about updating those docs in the future once the new features are added. There is nothing at all in CF-4202561 which should prevent this ticket from being completed.
