Problem Description:
When using RDS, and you want to rename a file, the UI can cause you to accidentally rename or delete the entire folder instead of the intended target.
This is massively dangerous, as it will hard delete the folder, and all children files and folders, with no trash can option obviously, you are forced to use Version Control, or worse, Backups, or worse yet, Gone forever if you dont use either.
Steps to Reproduce:
Click on the file in the RDS Fileview - File is selected and in focus
Click on the main code editor view - File is selected but out of focus in the fileview
Right click on the file to bring up File Menu - File is selected, but it is still out of focus.
Click Rename (for safety) - you will see its prompting you to change the folder name, not the file.
Same applies for Delete
Actual Result:
If you right click on a file to rename or delete, it should rename or delete that file. It should focus on right click, therefore probably solving the problem.
If you do this and delete, it deletes the parent folder, not the file.
Expected Result:
To delete the actual file.
Any Workarounds:
Don't use RDS
Be Careful
Make sure you have backups and version control
