I realize that what I am about to ask for with the file search in Blizzard might be possible with RegEx but a lot of programmers struggle with RegEx and like to use it as little as possible. This might make life easier:

For the file search in Blizzard, there is a line at the top that says "Containing Text". Can we have an input field below it for "Not Containing Text" that would be an exclude word list that would filter the results? Would be nice if we could create a list separated by commas for exclude words.

I filed a bug / feature ID #4098760 that is set ToFix regarding the file search functionalities. Might be worth looking into this suggestion while that other one is getting fixed?

Thanks for considering this!

I think it would be used more often that you'd think. Date Added :2016-01-15 00:19:38.0 Added By: PreRelease User User Name:Aaron Neff Note Added: Adobe, I believe you misunderstood. I believe Travis wanted to do this: 1) Enter text in "Containing text" input 2) Enter text in "Excluding text" input Result: All files that contained the text from "Containing input" but not containing the text from "Excluding text" input. Example: Return all files containing "foo" but not containing "bar". Basically, he wants a way to filter the results. A more advanced search. That seems reasonable. Travis (if you ever see this message), could you please confirm if I understood correctly? Also, could you please create a forum thread for this ticket so we can get notified of further comments? Thanks!, -Aaron Date Added :2016-01-12 09:26:39.0 Added By:mukumar Note Added: Closing and defering it as it is very rare where user will search for Not containing words and list down all files .
