Following on to the bug about problems with the PDF version of the docs (4155931), but separate as I'm now referring to the online/HTML version of the docs:
1) Could someone also please, please add back (in the online docs) the icon/link to go from page to page within the docs?
Especially in all the docs but the CFML Reference, it's typical for a topic to be spread over many "pages" of subtopics and/or sibling/related topics within a chapter. But there's now no link, like there was in the CF10 version of the docs.
Consider, for example, the "introduction" page on ORM at:
https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/developing-applications/coldfusion-orm.html
An uninformed reader may come away thinking that that's all that there is on the topic, when in fact there are over 120 pages of content on the topic (as viewed in the PDF version for CF11).
Compare that to the CF10 version of the online docs (can't seem to find the CF11 online docs anymore):
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/10.0/Developing/WSD628ADC4-A5F7-4079-99E0-FD725BE9B4BD.html
Note how there is not only the next/previous page icon in the top right, which is so desperately missed!
2) But also note that the CF10 version of the page shows the subtopics within that chapter, whereas the CF2016 version of the docs does not. Again, it leaves the reader (in the 2016 version) to further think that there is no more on the topic than what is on this page. That, too, is a tragic loss of info and context, and only further contributes to the challenge of people using CF most effectively.
3) Separately, but not preferable over the two above, it would also be nice also to have a "table of contents" feature on the left of all the doc pages, as there has been at times in the history of the docs.
4) Please also consider more effective breadcrumbs at the top of each docs page, to help one know what manual, chapter, section, and subsection they may be in.
All these are very important factors in effectively using the CF docs, again especially in any of the several manuals other than the CFML Reference (which does tend to have all info on a single page). The fact that so many use only the CFML Reference is bad enough. Now when we may get them to consider the other docs, they need to be easily used!
