Problem:

I'd like to see the ability to switch Trusted Cache on for certain directories and not others.

For example, CMS systems are prime examples of applications that may not benefit from Trusted Cache from a "view" perspective (same file being overwritten by the CMS systems, etc), however the CFCs behind the CMS wouldn't change except when a new build was rolled out.

So it would be nice to turn Trusted Cache on For Directory A, but not Directory B.

+1 from me as well. even on production servers you sometimes have some directories in which you want to show new features, etc. in development!

Good suggestion. +1 vote from me. I'd quite like this sort of thing to be implemented with a <cfprocessingdirective trustedcache="true"> (or something along those lines) which could be put in a file. If a file with that set to TRUE is compiled, it's put in the "trusted" area. Otherwise: not. I'd also like to be able to flush the trusted cache in a more targeted way: clearing a directory's worth of trusted cache files, or something (and programatically, perhaps... not sure if the CFAdmin API can do this?). -- Adam
