Problem Description:

After deploying coldfusion hotfix CF11 update 8, oracle datasource didn't work anymore !!!

Error message displayed is :
java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver]No more data available to read.



Any Workarounds:

when replacing macromedia_drivers.jar with previous version (from CF11 update 7) it is working back again /

This is the error message seen in coldfusion administrator when checking datasource : Connection verification failed for data source: SoFive java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver]No more data available to read. The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver]No more data available to read.

Pierre, Please try restart ColdFusion service and see of you observe the same issue. This kind of issue occurs only if we have stale sql connection in the connection pool. Is it the same ColdFusion instance which you are talking about in bug #CF-4162515?

Restarting coldfusion services doesn't help. I had to rollback to previous macromedia_drivers.jar

Pierre, Have you tried installing ColdFusion 11 Update 9? We have shipped the latest database driver with it. -Nimit

I have just tried to install Coldfusion 11 Update 9 and there is same issue : Connection verification failed for data source: SoFive java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver]No more data available to read. I had to rollback macromedia_drivers.jar at level cf11 update 7 Pierre
