Title:

Bug 74764:When "Use J2EE session variables" is checked under Server Settings > Memory Variables

| View in Tracker

Status/Resolution/Reason: Closed/Withdrawn/

Reporter/Name(from Bugbase): James Moore / James Moore (JT_Moore)

Created: 01/02/2009

Components: Core Runtime, Session Management

Versions: 9.0

Failure Type: Unspecified

Found In Build/Fixed In Build: 216113 /

Priority/Frequency: Major / Unknown

Locale/System: English / Win All

Vote Count: 1

Problem:

When "Use J2EE session variables" is checked under Server Settings > Memory Variables. Session.CFID is not defined. This is an unexpected change from Coldfusion 8 and breaks backwards compatability. There should be an option in the server administrator to independently enable 1) session.cfid and session.cftoken
2) cookie.cfid and cookie.cfid
to be defined when "Use J2EE session variables" is checked
Method:

Enable "Use J2EE session variables" under Server Settings > Memory Variables

Create code that attempts to read the value session.cfid

Result:

Error Occurred While Processing Request
Element CFID is undefined in SESSION.

Please disregard. This is the same behavior that occurs in CF 8.
