Problem:

CF8 AJAX functionality, including tabs an windows, uses different ext version, causing most code using the standard coldfusion tags and JS functions to at the least look differently, and in my experience, behave differently (usually negatively). Understand the need to keep on the bleeding edge of technologies, but there needs to be a backwards compatibility mode with the old libraries for code written in coldfusion 8. Attempted Workaround:CFAJAXIMPORT with a scriptscr attribute pointing to the old libraries does not work completely.
Method:

Examples:Firefox, createWindow() function, the "center" attribute will NOT center the window, it pulls to the left for some reasonFirefox, cflayout-tabs, when the tabs have a "source" attribute the first tab will not "grow" in height to meet the content.The ext-all.css file resets all tables and td's to have 0 margin and 0 padding, causing all "cellpadding" and "cellspacing" attributes to be overridden whenever an AJAX functionality is imported.

Strange... I had no issues before with cfwindow but I recently tried to use it and its not only ignoring all cellpadding but it also makes the page look bizzare inside ie. Please fix this. I'm inlcuding the cfwindow at the bottom of my page.

This is a major problem for our upgrade to ColdFusion 9.

I have experienced this same scenario. It is a major problem, and will delay our transition to CF 9 until fixed. The ext styles used by the cfajax in 9 override my table styles, and even turn off all <strong> and <em> tags on the page. This is particularly a problem for content generated by CKEditor, as CKEditor uses <strong> and <em> to format text, instead of inline styles. Please fix ASAP.!

Why is this bug marked as "NeverFix"? I'm still experiencing the issue in cf 9.0.1. Please update the ext-all.css to remove the following: html,body,div,dl,dt,dd,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6,pre,form,fieldset,input,p,blockquote,th,td{margin-top:0;padding:0;}
