Problem Description:
Cannot connect to Oracle 10G database behind firewall
Steps to Reproduce:
Verify datasource from Coldfusion Administrator
Actual Result:
 java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver]No more data available to read
Expected Result:
datasource verified

Not reproducible. Needs more information regarding database setup and ColdFusion. Provide the setup details of Oracle DB with version number. Provide the setup details of ColdFusion server. Check the firewall settings. Is the port used be database server is allowed to be accessed. Are you able to connect to Oracle server using any sql client such as Orcale SQL developer ? Oracle database 10.2.0.4 Coldfusion Enterprise 9,0,1,274733 I am able to connect via port 1521 from SQLplus, TNSping and ODBC Administrator.

This error occurred when Oracle databases configured to 'require' Oracle Advanced Security . Can you check is Oracle Advanced Security is enabled. There is a similar issue logged for the same. (Comment added from ex-user id:gtiwari)
