* the min user name length is five characters.  This sux if your name is "adam" or "ray" something like that.  Not the end of the world, but seems like an unnecessary rule.  This should be my choice, not Adobe’s.
* the user name can only take alphanumeric characters. So "adam.cameron" is out of the question.  Again: another arbitrary rule for no good reason.  What does it matter what characters I use?  What’s wrong with "adam.cameron"?  That’s a fairly common username format, innit?
* however it DOES accept an underscore, which is not an "alphanumeric" character, so the validation guidance is inaccurate.

This limitation is not new and has been there for a long long time. We can change it but it is not something we want to change at this stage of the release. We will consider for the next.
