Expected Result: Mail spool directory empties as individual emails are sent via smtp to our mail server.

Any Workarounds: Restart ColdFusion application service.

Comments:

How many messages are you talking about when you say "bulk emails"? We have pumped 60,000 messages at a time through a single page call with cfmail without any problems (with multiple threads running they took about ten minutes to clear out of the spool, but no lockups or restarts needed).

Verified the bug with 10000 mails with spool enabled, ColdFusion was able to send all the mails. Can you try this on ColdFusion 10 or ColdFusion 11 and see if it's still crashing? As there is no response from the user, Closing the bug as Cannot Reproduce. If you are still facing the issue, please revert will re-open the bug.
