Problem Description:

We have created an appication for a client that connects to their Buy.com account and transmits orders and tracking information using CFFTP. After upgrading to ColdFusion 10 this feed stopped working. I then created a simple one-line CFFTP page to see if there is a connection issue and I get a "215 ERROR", but when I run the one-line of CFFTP code local on our CF 8 machine, it connects fine.

<cfftp action="OPEN" connection="getbuy" server="trade.marketplace.buy.com" username="user" password="pass" stopOnError = "No">

Works in CF8, but not on CF10.

It looks like it's been re-reported here (2 years later): https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=CF-3796626

Will this get fixed in C10? It appears to also be broken in CF11.

It might be two different bugs. The other is in LISTDIR action this is in the OPEN action. But it does appear CFFTP has issues.

Jamo: Can you use Wireshark to pinpoint the exact part of the error in the TCP requests? That or contact me directly so I can test this with my setup. - Wil
