Bernhard, Can you please provide the following : 1. Update install log located under { ColdFusion11 install directory } \cfusion\hf-updates\hf-11-00010 2. Screen shot of { ColdFusion11 install directory } \cfusion\lib\updates directory Thanks Subir

Thanks for your reply. The hf-updates folder has three subfolders. I attach logs from each in one ZIP. lib\updates folder only has chf11000010.jar

Bernhard, Looking at the hf-11-00010 logs it looks like Hotfix installation failed for the first time because of permission issues and then you reinstalled it with sufficient priviledges and it was installed without any ERRORs/Warnings. so i am wondering if its a browser cache or something else that i need to dig. Also if you go to "check available updates" does it list update 10 and if possible can you share chf1100001.jar at cfusion\lib\updates? regards Deepraj

"Check for Updates" lists no available updates.

Bernhard, can you clear the browser cache and restart the server. Nothing looks wrong with the update installation and the chf11000010.jar has the correct changelist number entry (300066)

I'm on a adev machine that reboots at least once daily. I emptedi folder \cfusion\wwwroot\WEB-INF\cfclasses no change. I just realized you updates page: https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-11-updates.html doesn't list 292866 as a version number. Your blog http://blogs.coldfusion.com/post.cfm/coldfusion-11-installers-refreshed-has-fix-for-server-fails-to-start-on-enabling-j2ee-session-variables-and-installation-on-japanese-os however says it's the numer of a fresh install. I observe this number on two other machines with slightly different configs. One identifies as 11.0.10, the other as 11.0.9 I attached screenshots.

I don't know how it is supposed to work or what we are doing wrong, just found this combination on another machine: Your blog says: After applying this update, ColdFusion build number should be 10,0,20,299202. https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-10-update-20.html Screenshot 20161005_z.PNG says 10,0,20,283922

Bernhard, For ColdFusion 11: You installed CF11 HF3 Full installer which is 11,0,3,292866 and then applied update 10 expecting 11,0,10,300066 but you see 11,0,10,292866? ?Looks like first failed installation didnt do proper layout and backup, also when you successfully installed second time did you uninstall the previous failed installation? For CF10: Have you applied Mandatory update before applying hotfix20 ? https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-10-mandatory-update.html

Today, I installed Hotfix 12 and am now on version 11,0,12,292866 I was initially provided with the ColdFusion installation by an administrator in my company. He has some automation that does the ColdFusion installation. I did not uninstall anything.

Bernhard, We made some changes in the updates.xml file. Could you please try installing the latest update from the administrator, and let us know if all is good?
