1) I assume mostly all CF solutions for clients will run under https when some critical business data is handled. Unfortunately wss seems not to be supported. Looking into the code of the js files (cfwebsocketCore.js...) shows ws://mydomain even when running under https instead of wss://mydomain. We accept only https://... for our solutions. Firefox throws securityContect error, Safari and Chrome do nothing... running SSL with websockets from CF 10.

2) There is no information about this subject at the documentation of CF 10, whereas stated about the advantage of websockets running under port 80 and 443 (SSL)

3) As websockets will be the hype and support coldfusion to expand even more, it would be great to have soon a solution for that SSL subject.

4) As we have to plan our solutions in advance we should know a timeframe, when SSL will be supported or if there is no intention for that.

@Michaelbrazo1, According to Adobe, "it is under progress to be added". Please see Adobe employee Ray Camden's comment here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10957468/does-cf10-support-secure-websocket-wss Another good place to discuss this idea might be here: http://blogs.coldfusion.com/post.cfm/html5-websockets-it-s-coming Thanks!, -Aaron

We need to implement fully HTTPS/SSL sites from back to front, and can not take advantage of the websockets without secure support. Forcing us to either forgo this feature, or turn to a third party implementation. One of the reasons we use Coldfusion is so we don't need to do things like that however.

Have this been fixed? The build number indicates that this should be part of ColdFusion 10 Update 7. WSS still doesn't work and no documentation has been produced that WSS has been supported at all. Thanks!
