Problem Description:
We have not been able to find a direct cause for this issue nor any pattern on why it even occurs. Emails that are sent out on a daily basis to both internal and external users fail at random times. When we go into the undeliverable folder to move it back to spool, in some cases, some of them can spool fine but some of them go right back to the undeliverable folder. The error message we see in our mail log is that it is 'missing body for message'. I then edit the file manually and add body to it, then spool it just fine. Some emails however do not go out the matter what I do.

Steps to Reproduce:
I cannot replicate this issue at will, it just happens.

Actual Result:
Mail logs -
"Error","scheduler-1","06/12/13","01:00:53",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"
"Error","scheduler-1","06/12/13","02:00:24",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"
"Error","scheduler-3","06/12/13","03:01:11",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"
"Error","scheduler-0","06/12/13","04:00:44",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"
"Error","scheduler-3","06/12/13","05:00:22",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"
"Error","scheduler-1","06/12/13","06:00:59",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"
"Error","scheduler-3","06/12/13","07:00:53",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"
"Error","scheduler-0","06/12/13","08:01:17",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"
"Error","scheduler-3","06/12/13","08:12:35",,"javax.mail.MessagingException: missing body for message"

Expected Result:

Any Workarounds:
It is hit or miss, you can edit the mail file manually and add body to it, then try to spool it. Sometimes it will process, other times it does not at all.

I have the exact same issue. It is so annoying to have to manually re-spool messages and occasionally edit them with a fake body, just so the message goes out.

@zadi1 Are you using CF10 vanilla or have you installed some CF10 updates? Also is there a certain pattern to this bug (looking for a repro case) (Comment added from ex-user id:vnigam)

No, I haven't seen any pattern with this issue to replicate it, although it has been occurring more than usual as of late. Which is why I've posted this on adobe forums to see if anyone else can provide input on this issue. Running ColdFusion version 10,284825 w/ updates as recent as June 30, 2013. In the absence of reliable reproducible steps, it may not be possible to fix this. Although we are closing this bug for now, we are more than willing to re-open it if there is something for us to move on this. As part of replicating this issue, we setup a scheduled task that generated a high volume of mails but none of the mails were lost.
