Problem: ColdFusion instances not showing up in Windows Performance Monitor

Method:
Login to CF10 Admin and create multiple instances.
Check the "Enable Performance Monitoring" (Under Debugging & Logging > Debug Output Settings) for all the instances.
Launch Windows Performance Monitor (%windir%\system32\perfmon.exe).
Click on the add button ('+' icon) or press Ctrl+N to add a new process to monitor.
Select ColdFusion 10 Server and it would show, only one instance i.e. coldfusion.

Here are the VM details:-
ip: 10.42.98.35
User: Administrator
Pwd: cold!
CF10 running on port 8500 with "admin" as CF Admin password

Result: Only the default service is available to select.

Expected: Services of all the ColdFusion instances should be visible under the Performance Monitor

Workaround: None. Also able to reproduce the issue with ColdFusion Splendor (Version 10,0,0,285950)

Hi Anit, In CF11 Update 5 (build 11,0,05,293506) on Windows 2012 R2, I created a new instance "Instance2", and see: 1) Issue not fixed. Only the default cfusion instance is available under the Performance Monitor 2) C:\ColdFusion11\Instance2\lib\neo-metric.xml contains (good): <var name="cfperfmon"> <string>true</string> </var> 3) "Enable Performance Monitoring" setting is enabled in CF Admin for cfusion user 4) "Enable Performance Monitoring" setting doesn't exist in CF Admin for Instance2 user Questions: 1) Was the "Enable Performance Monitoring" checkbox removed from CF Admin for all other instances except the default cfusion? 2) Any idea why Performance Monitor still only lists cfusion but not any other instances? Thanks!, -Aaron

Also, the "Performance" key doesn't exist in the Windows registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ColdFusion 11 Application Server Instance2 (but does exist at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ColdFusion 11 Application Server\Performance). Thanks!, -Aaron
